Edward Sheen, MD, MPH, MBA has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Edward is currently serving as the Chief (Senior) Quality and Population Health Executive at L.A. Care Health Plan, the nation's largest publicly operated health plan. Edward also holds the role of a National Advisory Council member for the National Health Service Corps within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Previously, Dr. Sheen has worked as an Adjunct Professor of Medicine and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Stanford University. Edward has also served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis.

Before their career in healthcare, Dr. Sheen worked as a White House Fellow/Special Assistant to the Secretary of Defense in the Immediate Office of the Secretary.

Edward has also been actively involved in the Council on Foreign Relations as a Stephen M. Kellen Term Member and has served in various leadership roles at SHCG, a nonprofit service organization focused on solving complex healthcare problems.

Edward Sheen, MD, MPH, MBA holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of California, San Francisco. Edward also obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree with a focus on Health Care Policy and Public Health from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. In addition, they hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and General Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Edward Sheen completed their undergraduate studies at Brown University, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Public Policy and American Institutions with Magna cum laude honors and Phi Beta Kappa membership. Edward attended University High School for their secondary education. Edward Sheen has additional certifications in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Edward also obtained a certification in Public Management from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
