L.A. Works
Evan L. has extensive experience in various roles, particularly with the Transportation Security Administration, where promotion to Lead Transportation Security Officer occurred in January 2017, alongside recognition for exceptional performance and participation in the FEMA Surge Force for disaster assistance. As a Special Event Coordinator for L.A. Works, Evan develops and manages volunteer projects across the Los Angeles area. Additionally, involvement in stage production as Assistant Director highlights strong organizational and creative skills. Previous experience includes administrative support in the legal field, photography for K-12 sports events, and work as a lab technician in the editorial and fashion industries. Education includes multiple degrees in Media Studies, Political Science, Communications, and Theatre from institutions such as Hunter College and El Camino College.
L.A. Works
L.A. Works is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects throughout the greater Los Angeles area. We strive to empower Angelenos to address pressing social issues through volunteerism and community collaborations. Founded in 1991, our mission consists of three principal pillars: 1. INCREASE volunteer participation in community service projects; 2. PROVIDE our nonprofit partners with access to volunteer labor and other RESOURCES; and 3. EDUCATE and encourage people to engage in the broader social issues affecting the greater Los Angeles Community. Since 1991, L.A. Works has mobilized and led volunteers to contribute over a million hours to Los Angeles through unique volunteer programming. L.A. Works has encouraged corporate citizenship by building a bridge between our corporate partners and the communities of LA.
