L.A. Works is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, volunteer action center that creates and implements hands-on community service projects throughout the greater Los Angeles area. We strive to empower Angelenos to address pressing social issues through volunteerism and community collaborations.

Founded in 1991, our mission consists of three principal pillars:
1.	INCREASE volunteer participation in community service projects;
2.	PROVIDE our nonprofit partners with access to volunteer labor and other RESOURCES; and
3.	EDUCATE and encourage people to engage in the broader social issues affecting the greater Los Angeles Community. 

Since 1991, L.A. Works has mobilized and led volunteers to contribute over a million hours to Los Angeles through unique volunteer programming.  L.A. Works has encouraged corporate citizenship by building a bridge between our corporate partners and the communities of LA. Our corporate partners:
•	Share our vision to transform communities through service and civic engagement;
•	Value the power and potential of hands-on, high-impact volunteerism;
•	Understand how to maximize the impact of their charitable giving;

The Program Coordination and Management team at L.A. Works is responsible for overseeing and executing various volunteer initiatives that address key social issues in the greater Los Angeles area. This includes coordinating climate action efforts, workforce development programs, public health projects, community outreach, and large-scale service events. The team works to increase volunteer participation, support nonprofit partners with essential resources, and educate the community on social issues, thereby fostering a culture of civic engagement and corporate citizenship.
