Richard Wells

Richard Wells has extensive experience in the content creation and research space. In 2022, they began their role as Head of Content at Opto Investments. Prior to that, they were VP, Research Content at iCapital from 2021, managing content creation for the Investment Products and Research team. From 2017 to 2021, they were Senior Writer at HarbourVest Partners, creating thought leadership content in a variety of formats. From 2014 to 2017, they were Research Editor at Financial Times, editing and proofreading all output for their premium research product. From 2012 to 2014, they were Editor/Real Estate Analyst at JLM Pacific Epoch LLC, creating content and writing analysis of the residential real estate sector. Richard Wells has an education history that spans from 1994 to the present. Richard attended Range High School, Formby, Liverpool from 1994 to 2001. From 2001 to 2004, they attended the University of Nottingham and obtained a BA in Politics. In 2006, they attended SOAS University of London and obtained an MA in Chinese Studies. Richard then went on to study Mandarin Chinese at Tsinghua University, Xiamen University, and Yunnan Normal University from 2007 to 2010. Richard has also obtained certifications from Rock Content, Linkedin Learning, and LinkedIn in 2022 and 2021.
