Joe Sweeney

Joe Sweeney is an experienced copywriting manager with a strong background in editorial leadership at L.L.Bean since April 2014, currently leading a team of copywriters. Sweeney has also served as the Associate Creative Director for digital initiatives and previously led digital copy efforts. Alongside a robust role in retail, Sweeney has contributed to a range of music publications since 2001, including The Guardian and The Buffalo News. Past positions include Concept Copywriter at Ethos Marketing and Design, Associate Creative Director at Travers Collins and The Martin Group, and Writer/Publicist for Righteous Babe Records. Sweeney holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism/Mass Communications from St. Bonaventure University, obtained in 2000.
