Monica Robinson, SHRM-CP, has extensive experience in human resources and leadership roles. Monica currently serves as the Director of Human Resources and EEO Officer at LS Black Constructors, where they are responsible for all aspects of HR, including policy development, regulatory compliance, employee life cycle management, and HR partnership with managers and executives. Monica fosters strong relationships between employees and the organization to create an empowered workforce.
Prior to their current role, Monica worked at Best Buy, where they held various positions in HR. As a Human Resources Business Partner, they led strategic planning, policy development, talent acquisition, and retention strategies. Monica also oversaw talent reviews, mentorship programs, and corrective action plans to drive excellence across multiple locations. As a Human Resources Business Partner Associate, Monica managed employee life cycle processes and led talent and training programs for remote employees. Additionally, they provided HR and administrative support, including recruiting, on-boarding, talent management, and employee relations.
Monica's experience also includes serving as a Hiring & Training Coordinator in a retail store, where they oversaw onboarding and employee development. Monica has also worked as a Territory Business Sales Manager, where they led a sales team and exceeded revenue goals. In their early career at Enterprise Customer Care, Monica provided high-quality customer service and problem-solving to ensure customer satisfaction.
Monica Robinson, SHRM-CP, completed their education from 1999 to 2005 at the University of Minnesota Crookston. During this time, they focused on coursework in Business Management. Monica obtained additional certifications, including SHRM CP, from SHRM in July 2017, and SHRM Executive Network Membership from the SHRM Executive Network in April 2023.
