John Harper

John Harper has a diverse work experience, with a focus on sports and consulting industries. John currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at LA 2028, a role they have been in since September 2017. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer and Treasurer at LA 2024 / LA 2028 Exploratory Committee from October 2015 to September 2017. John also has experience in consulting, where they worked as a Senior Vice President at Wasserman Media Group from June 2010 to October 2015. John was responsible for developing and leading the Insights and Analytics division, providing strategic planning support and analysis for clients. Before that, John worked at The Boston Consulting Group as a Project Leader, where they focused on strategic business consulting for Fortune 500 companies and was involved in supporting the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games in their 2016 Olympic bid. In addition, John has worked at companies such as Sony and Nike, where they held various roles in business development, brand initiatives, retail marketing, and sports marketing. John also had a brief stint at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, where they worked on special events for the Toronto Raptors.

John Harper attended Bluevale for an unspecified period of time. In 1992, they enrolled at Ivey Business School at Western University, where they obtained a HBA degree in Business - General Management in 1996. After that, they pursued further education at Harvard Business School, completing an executive education program in the field of study of General Management in 2002. The following year, in 2003, John Harper enrolled in Harvard Business School once again and earned an MBA degree in Business - General Management in 2005.
