Early Childhood Special Education Coordinator at La Grange School District #102

Amanda VanderWaal, Ed.D. is a School Psychologist with experience in leading Special Education teams, providing counseling services, coordinating school-wide screenings, selecting interventions, and participating in district-level Problem Solving teams. Amanda has also worked as an Intake Coordinator and School Psychologist for Psychoeducational Resource Services, as well as a School Psychology Practicum and Intern for Park Ridge School District 64. In addition to their work in education, Amanda also has experience as a Producer and Co-Host for KRUI Radio. Amanda holds a Doctor of Education in School Psychology from Loyola University Chicago.

With over 3,000 elementary students in six schools, La Grange School District 102 serves portions of the communities of La Grange, La Grange Park and Brookfield. Schools: One kindergarten/early childhood center (Barnsdale), four elementary schools (Ogden, Cossitt, Forest Road, Congress Park) and one junior high (Park) in the district. Mission: In order to fulfill their dreams and potential, we actively engage the children of La Grange School District 102 to develop creativity, innovative problem-solving, a passion for learning, and empathy.
