Annie Elong is a seasoned researcher in the field of immunology, currently serving as a Research Instructor at La Jolla Institute for Immunology since January 2015 and as a Human Subject Lead for the CREID-ESP Network at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) since 2020. With a focus on emerging infectious diseases, Annie Elong's work involves the surveillance and characterization of novel viruses and their associated epidemiological impacts. Prior to these roles, Annie Elong completed a PhD in Immunology at INSERM U643, where research centered on antigen-specific lymphocytes in Multiple Sclerosis, including the development of assays to identify specific immune cell populations. Academic qualifications include a Master II Research degree in Biology, Biotechnology and Therapeutic Research with a specialization in Immunology from Nantes Université and a DUT in Biological Engineering from IUT Génie Biologique de Saint-Brieuc.
