Hayley Shires

Hayley Shires is a seasoned professional in research finance and grant management, currently serving as the Senior Research Finance Supervisor at La Jolla Institute for Immunology since June 2016. In this role, Hayley leads the Research Finance department, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while overseeing post-award management of grants and contracts. Previously, Hayley worked as a Grants Accountant, managing a portfolio of projects valued at over $60 million. Prior experience includes roles as Grant Administrator and Assistant at KPBS, where responsibilities encompassed managing grant projects and community outreach. Hayley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from San Diego State University and a Master's degree from the National University of Singapore.
