Melina Brunelli

Melina Brunelli is a graduate student researcher at La Jolla Institute for Immunology since June 2023 and a Biomedical Sciences Ph.D. student at UC San Diego since July 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a NYS COVID-19 Contact Tracer for Staffing Solutions Organization LLC from June 2020 to October 2021, where Melina was promoted to Specialist Contact Tracer due to strong communication and rapid adaptability in a remote role. Melina also gained research experience as a Senior Student Research Ambassador at Binghamton University from August 2018 to May 2020 and participated in the Plant Genomics REU at Michigan State University during the summer of 2019. Melina began a career in laboratory work as a Lab Technician at Cornell University College of Agriculture and Life Sciences from May 2018 to December 2018. Melina earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Binghamton University (2018-2022) and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences at UC San Diego (2022-2028).
