Teaching Artist at La Jolla Playhouse

Gill Sotu is an accomplished artist and educator with extensive experience in the performing arts. Currently serving as a Program Associate and Teaching Artist at The Old Globe since October 2017, and a Teaching Artist at La Jolla Playhouse since July 2021, Gill also brings expertise as a mobile DJ with MY DJs since June 2017. Previously, Gill was an Artist in Residence at Makers Church until January 2023 and at the Jacobs Center for Neighborhood Innovation from February 2015 to June 2017. Gill's creative journey began with Train Of Thought, working as a Poet, Host, Writer, and DJ from January 2008 to January 2023, focusing on inspiring audiences through poetic entertainment.

The Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse is internationally-renowned for creating some of the most exciting and adventurous work in American theatre, through its new play development initiatives, its innovative Without Walls series, artist commissions and residencies.
