Sarah Mongeau-Birkett

Sarah Mongeau-Birkett is a staff photojournalist at La Presse, a Montreal daily newspaper, since December 2012. With over seven years of prior experience as a photo editor and photographer at La Presse, Sarah has established a strong presence in the field of photojournalism. As a freelance photographer from May 2011 to September 2020, Sarah specialized in photojournalism, travel, event, and real estate photography, contributing to publications such as La Presse, The Globe and Mail, and PBS. Sarah's diverse experience also includes roles as a photo/video production coordinator at NEWAD, a multimedia intern at Harvard University, and a foreign correspondent at Universitet Avisen, among others. Sarah holds a Master of Science in Photojournalism from Boston University, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from McGill University, and has participated in an exchange program in Political Science at the University of Copenhagen.
