Jim Dechert is an experienced professional with a diverse background in culinary arts and business leadership. Since March 2016, Jim has served as a volunteer, Board Chair, and Treasurer for La Soupe, Inc., while also teaching classes for the Give A Crock program. Prior to this, Jim was an ACF Certified Chef for LaSoupe, conducting small dinner parties, fundraisers, and demonstrations. Jim announced retirement from Givaudan in June 2013 after a notable career spanning from 2003 to 2013, including roles such as VP Sales Performance and various Vice President positions. Jim's previous experience includes serving as VP for the Savory Business Unit at Quest International, which was later acquired by Givaudan. Educationally, Jim holds an Associate of Science degree in Culinary Arts, an MBA from the University of Indianapolis, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University.
