Annette Kainu

Annette Kainu serves as the Physician-in-charge for HyMy Village- Wellbeing at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences since April 2023. Kainu is also the CEO and Founder of Medzilla Oy, a consultancy specializing in digital health applications and remote healthcare services, active since March 2021. Additionally, Kainu has been a Medical Specialist at Terveystalo since May 2017, focusing on respiratory and sleep medicine. Kainu held roles such as Chief Medical Officer and Head of Section in pharmacovigilance at the Finnish Medicines Agency from November 2022 to March 2023. Previous experience includes leadership positions at Terveystalo Healthcare and work as a Medical Consultant at Labquality, as well as a long tenure at the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa. Kainu is an Adjunct Professor in Respiratory Medicine and Allergology at the University of Helsinki and holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Medicine and an MD.
