Antonello Scalmato

Antonello Scalmato began their work experience in 2001 as a Swimming Instructor and Educator at Centro Nuoto Sestri. Antonello continued working there until 2007. In 2008, they served as an ICT Consultant at Genova Robot Srl. From 2009 to 2011, they pursued a PhD and worked as a PhD student at the University of Genoa. Antonello then joined Il Prezzo Giusto in 2011 and held the position of Il Prezzo Giusto until 2015. In 2012, they became a Researcher at the University of Genoa and worked there until 2017. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as the Director of Cloud Services and AI at Pillo Health. In 2018, they became a Contract Professor at Università degli Studi di Genova and served until 2020. In 2021, they became the CTO at Aosta Valley Card. In 2022, they joined lab-go as the Chief Technology Officer. Finally, in 2014, they co-founded Ermit and became the Director of Cloud Services and AI, a role they continue to hold.

Antonello Scalmato completed a Master's degree in Computer Science Engineering from Università degli Studi di Genova between 2002 and 2007. Following that, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from the same university from 2009 to 2011.

In addition to their formal education, Antonello Scalmato obtained the certification of Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate from Microsoft in March 2022.
