Joe Clark

Trustee at The Lab School of Washington

Joe Clark is currently a trustee at The Lab School of Washington. Joe previously worked as a residence life counselor and substitute teacher at the Washington State School for the Blind from September 2015 to August 2017. In this role, they worked with students individually and in groups on fostering skills for independent living, substitute taught, and was a one-on-one staff member for a student experiencing autism spectrum disorder and visual impairment. Joe also staffed two week-long outdoor camps on the Oregon coast (Camp Magruder) for 20 students. Prior to that, they worked as a program specialist at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Alaska from August 2013 to June 2015 where they enrolled "Littles" and "Bigs" into the program, matched them based on common interests and expectations, and supported the matches throughout the duration of their friendship.

Joe Clark has a BA in Liberal Studies and Physics from Seattle University, and also attended Hudson's Bay High School.
