Community and Social Impact Strategist at LabCentral

Shazia Mir has been working in a variety of roles since 1994. Shazia began their career as an Editorial Assistant at John Wiley Publishing, followed by a Donor Marketing Assistant (Major Donors) at Oxfam. Shazia then moved to Globalinx Consulting as an English Language Trainer (Corporate Client Division) in 1996. In 2003, they became a Development Assistant at the University of Oxford. In 2012, they started their own business, Soha, as an Independent Artisan Small Business. In 2016, they joined LabCentral as an Events & Operations Associate & Curator at Gallery 1832 and Concierge & Operations Associate. In 2019, they took on the roles of Community and Social Impact Strategist, LabCentral AMBASSADOR, and Resident & Alumni Relation Lead at LabCentral.

Shazia Mir attended the University of Leeds from 1990 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. Shazia also obtained a TOEFL certification from the University of Leeds for Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instructor.
