Shawn Heidel has an extensive background in toxicology and drug development. From 1999 to 2012, Shawn served as Director of Toxicology at Eli Lilly and Company, later becoming Executive Director at Covance from 2012 to 2014. Shawn held the position of Vice President and Head of Global Safety Assessment at Labcorp Drug Development from 2014 to 2019 and is currently the Senior Vice President for Global Early Development Science and Business Development at Labcorp, a role held since 2025. Shawn earned both a PhD in Toxicology and a DVM in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Wisconsin-Madison between 1990 and 1999.
