Shishir Biyyala

Shishir Biyyala is an experienced technology leader with a strong background in software engineering and management. Currently serving as Associate Director of Lab Platform at Labcorp since March 2022, Shishir leads a global team focused on integrating genomic information into mainstream medicine following the acquisition of Invitae. Previously, in roles at both Invitae and Labcorp, Shishir managed teams responsible for Lab software systems and spearheaded initiatives to consolidate engineering groups and enhance operational efficiency. With earlier experience at companies such as Lab49, TEKSystems, and Medical Science & Computing, Shishir has developed a diverse skill set in software development, project leadership, and technical architecture. Shishir holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer and Information Sciences from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
