Marcelo Noll Barboza

Marcelo Noll Barboza has worked in the corporate and startup world for over two decades. In 1997, they began their career as an Associate at Booz & Company. In 1999, they co-founded and became the Chief Operating Officer of InvestShop, Latin America's largest and first online financial supermarket. In 2001, they became an Executive Director at Bradespar SA, where they led technology-related investments. In 2003, they worked as an Advisor for Advent International in the acquisition of JMalucelli Seguradora S.A. In 2004, they were promoted to Vice-President of Latin America at GE Healthcare, where they grew sales by 110% and operating margin by 160%. In 2008, they became President & CEO of DASA, the largest provider of medical diagnostic services in Latin America. In 2012, they were appointed President, Brazil and Argentina Region at Bausch Health Companies Inc., managing brands such as Bausch + Lomb, Renu, Caladryl and Cerave. In 2017, they co-founded Labi Exames and served as its CEO, employing digital technology to offer affordable and convenient laboratory testing. Marcelo Noll was twice included in the "100 startups to watch" list and twice selected a top 10 healthtech in Brazil (Distrito report). In 2022, they began serving as an Advisor for 1616 Ventures. Marcelo Noll Barboza has also held several corporate and startup board memberships.

Marcelo Noll Barboza received their BS in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul in 1988. Marcelo Noll then obtained their BBA in Business Administration from the same university in 1990. In 1997, they completed their MBA at Harvard Business School.
