Yi Jen Chang has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. They started their career as a Coordinator in the GCF Working Group and Translation Department at Taiwan Youth Climate Coalition, where they reported on UN climate talks and facilitated global news translation. They then worked as a Marketing Section Manager at Corum Inc., leading strategic plans, client management, and global marketing initiatives. As a Freelance Translator for National Geographic, Yi Jen provided translation services. They later undertook research internships at INSERM and Max Delbrück Center, where they conducted electrophysiological field recording and investigated the role of astrocytic receptors in brain slices. Yi Jen Chang has a diverse education history. Yi Jen holds a Certificate in Expressive Arts Facilitation, specializing in Expressive Arts Therapy, which they obtained from the Step Ahead! Expressive Arts Institute Berlin between 2022 and 2033. Prior to that, they pursued two Master of Science degrees in Medical Neuroscience from both Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin from 2017 to 2018. In 2016 to 2017, they studied Neuroscience and earned a Master of Science degree from Université de Bordeaux. Yi Jen also holds a Master of Science degree in Physiology from National Yang Ming University, completed between 2010 and 2012. As an undergraduate, Yi Jen Chang obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Technology from National Taiwan University, which they completed from 2006 to 2010.

In addition to their academic degrees, Yi Jen Chang has obtained two additional certifications. In October 2022, they became a certified facilitator of Fluentbody, a somatic approach. Yi Jen also completed a Dynamic Mindfulness 200h Yoga Teacher Training from Dynamic Mindfulness Yoga in April 2021.
