Gunnari Auvinen

Gunnari Auvinen is an experienced software engineer with a diverse background in the tech industry. They most recently worked at Labviva as a Staff Software Engineer in Architecture, starting in June 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Technical Lead at Labviva from August 2020 to June 2022.

Before joining Labviva, Gunnari worked at Turo as a Staff Software Engineer from January 2020 to March 2020 and as a Senior Software Engineer from December 2017 to December 2019. During their time at Turo, Gunnari was responsible for migrating the company's legacy web app to a modern tech stack and handled other engineering platform initiatives.

Gunnari also worked at Hack Reactor as a Professional Education and Curriculum Engineer from June 2016 to October 2017. Additionally, they held roles at Sonian as a Software Engineer from July 2015 to June 2016, at Hack Reactor as a Hacker in Residence from January 2015 to May 2015, and at Dev Bootcamp as a Web Developer from September 2014 to October 2014.

Prior to their work in the tech industry, Gunnari worked at General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems as a Senior System Integration and Test Engineer from May 2005 to January 2013. In this role, they gained valuable experience in engineering best practices and leadership skills across multiple programs.

During a sabbatical from February 2013 to May 2014, Gunnari focused on personal interests and activities such as studying programming, yoga, rock climbing, foreign travel, and spending time with friends and family.

Gunnari Auvinen's education history begins in 2000 when they attended Clark University. However, the exact degree and field of study for this period is unknown. They then went on to attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute from 2002 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree with Distinction in Electrical and Computer Engineering. After a break in their education, Gunnari joined Dev Bootcamp in 2014 for a Software Development Immersive program. Later that same year, they attended Hack Reactor for an Advanced Software Engineering Development Immersive program in 2014-2015.
