AVP, Student Engagement at Lackawanna College

Dan LaMagna, Ed.D., has extensive experience in higher education and community engagement, currently serving as the Associate Vice President of Student Engagement at Lackawanna College since November 2005. In this role, LaMagna oversees multiple areas including Student Conduct, Student Wellness, and Residence Life, providing leadership to enhance the holistic student experience. Prior positions include Dean of Students, where responsibilities encompassed enforcing the Student Code of Conduct, and Assistant Football Coach/Career Coordinator focused on connecting students with employment opportunities. LaMagna’s entrepreneurial spirit is evident from founding the NEPA Miners Football & Entertainment organization, promoting player development and community service, and serving as Vice-President of POWER!Scranton, an initiative aimed at enriching the local community. LaMagna's educational background includes a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Capella University and a Master's in Sport Management from East Stroudsburg University, alongside a commitment to various training certifications in behavioral health and therapeutic interventions.
