Martin Santerre has a comprehensive work history with experience in various manufacturing and leadership roles. Martin began their career in 1990 at Spar Aerospace Limited, where they served as a Project Engineer and Manufacturing Manager until 1996. Martin then joined Rolls-Royce Canada as a Project Manager in Manufacturing until 1997. From 1997 to 2005, they worked at Agropur, where they held positions such as Project Manager, Director of Engineering, and Director of Financial Analysis. In 2005, Martin became the Plant Director at Agropur's Toronto division, overseeing all plant operations. Martin subsequently held roles as Vice-President of Manufacturing and Technical Services and Vice-President of Manufacturing and Procurement for the Natrel Division. In 2016, they joined Hood Packaging Corporation as the Director of Flexible Plastic Packaging. Martin's most recent positions include Vice President Manufacturing at Parmalat Canada and currently, Vice President of Manufacturing at Lactalis Canada. Throughout their career, they have been responsible for managing operations, budgets, and teams, as well as implementing strategic plans and major projects.

Martin Santerre, Eng., MBA obtained a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering (B. Eng.) from École Polytechnique de Montréal et California Polytechnic State University in the years 1986-1990. Martin then pursued an MBA, earning a Master's degree in Business Administration from École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) & York University of Toronto between 1992 and 1995. Additionally, they also obtained a Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Montreal during the period of 1990-1992.
