Sergio Caceres began their work experience in 2009 as an Intern at the Embassy of Colombia, where they monitored and evaluated a social network program for the Colombian community in Germany. Sergio also facilitated communication between the Consular division and the Colombian community.
In 2010, Sergio worked as a Project Manager at the Agencia Colombiana para la Reintegración, where they identified potential funding sources for the reintegration process of former guerrilla members. Sergio also monitored and implemented the "Banco de Tiempo" program to involve the private sector and universities in the post-war process in Colombia.
From 2016 to 2017, Sergio took on a PR and Social Media Internship at HiMate!, where they managed partnerships and collaborated with marketing and PR teams to promote the organization to refugees and other target groups. Sergio also handled community management and created social media content.
In 2017, Sergio worked as a Junior Web Analyst (freelance) at Blasty for a brief period before joining Visual Meta GmbH. At Visual Meta GmbH, they held the role of Marketing Manager and Quality Manager for the Spanish market. Sergio'sresponsibilities included managing CRM and email marketing for 13 markets, ensuring the quality of the Spanish website, working on partner shops' product feeds, developing and managing categories, optimizing data samples, and working on various projects such as the Filter Project and the Amazon project.
Overall, Sergio has gained considerable experience in marketing management, quality assurance, project management, and social media and PR.
Sergio Caceres obtained their Abitur from Colegio San Bartolomé la Merced from 1999 to 2004. Sergio then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Politische Wissenschaft und Regierung from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, completing it from 2004 to 2009. In 2015, Sergio attended Alice-Salomon-Fachhochschule für Sozialarbeit und Sozialpädagogik Berlin, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Intercultural Conflict Management, which they completed in 2017. Additionally, Sergio obtained a certification in Introduction to User Experience Design from Coursera Course Certificates in November 2017.
