Morvarid Azizian

Morvarid (Pearl) Azizian, PhD, PE, is a seasoned civil and environmental engineer currently serving as a Civil Engineering Associate at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power since October 2023. Previous experience includes an Environmental Engineering Associate role at LA Sanitation & Environment and a Water Resources Engineer position at CDM Smith, where notable accomplishments included leading the development of compliance reports for the MS4 and Watershed Management Programs in Los Angeles. Additionally, Morvarid spent several years at IMEG Corp focusing on stormwater compliance and BMP design, and held various research and mentoring roles during academic tenure at UC Irvine, culminating in a PhD in Chemical Engineering. With a strong foundation in water sustainability and management, alongside extensive collaborative research experience, Morvarid demonstrates a commitment to advancing engineering practices in urban water management.
