Manabendra Saharia is an Associate Professor of Civil Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, since October 2019, with responsibilities in the Department of Civil Engineering and the Yardi School of Artificial Intelligence. As the Principal Investigator at the HydroSense Lab, Manabendra's work focuses on advanced water resource management and hydrological modeling. Previously, Manabendra has contributed to research at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center on a West Africa Land Data Assimilation System related to forecasting extreme hydrological events from January 2019 to September 2019, and at the National Center for Atmospheric Research from June 2017 to February 2019. Manabendra's academic journey includes a PhD in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, an M.S. in Water Resources Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington, and a B.Tech in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Technology Silchar.
