Daniel Adedokun

Head, Geocycle, Nigeria at Lafarge Africa

Daniel Adedokun has worked in the cement industry for over 15 years. Daniel is currently the Head of Geocycle for Lafarge Africa, based in Nigeria. Prior to this, they were the Head of Industrial Ecology for Lafarge Africa PLC (a member of LafargeHolcim), based in Nigeria. In this role, they developed the vision and strategy to lead Lafarge to achieve its 2020 Alternative Fuel group target.

Adedokun began their career with Lafarge Cement Zimbabwe as an Operations Manager in 2008. Daniel then moved to Lafarge Cement WAPCO Nigeria as a Process & Quality Manager in 2003. In this role, they were responsible for optimizing the co-processing of alternative fuels and raw materials in cement kilns.

Adedokun is a highly respected figure in the cement industry, with a deep knowledge of both operations and sustainability. Daniel is a strong advocate for the use of alternative fuels and raw materials in cement production, and has been instrumental in developing Lafarge’s strategy in this area.

Daniel Adedokun has a Cambridge Judge Business School Executive Education Certificate in Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies from the University of Cambridge. Daniel also has an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General, from Business School Netherlands Nigeria (BSNN). In addition, they have an Executive Development Program in Strategic Leadership from The Wharton School. Finally, they have a B.Sc Eng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Lagos.

Daniel Adedokun works with Lolu Alade-Akinyemi - CFO, Gbemiga Owolabi - Organisation & Human Resources Director, and Segun Shoyoye - Power & Gas Director. Their manager is Khaled El Dokani, CEO.
