Melia Summers

Melia Summers is an experienced policy analyst currently supporting the Department of Homeland Security’s Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Integrated Operations Division Emergency Communications Coordinators at Lafayette Group since June 2022. Prior to this role, Melia held various positions, including National Security and Preventing Targeted Violence Intern at McCain Institute and Research Assistant at New York University Abu Dhabi. Additionally, Melia served as a Special Projects Officer and Intern for Military Veterans in Journalism and worked as a Research and Analysis Fellow at Hedayah. Early career experience includes an internship at the Center for New Americans. Education was pursued at New York University Abu Dhabi from 2018 to 2022, following studies at Deerfield Academy from 2014 to 2018.
