Akshay Yadav

Akshay Yadav is a Senior Application Developer at BNY Mellon. Akshay has worked on Mainframe services under Development Processing Corporate Actions team of Pershing LLC for Business Intelligence processing. Akshay has also worked on improving existing Corporate Actions systems and several business intelligence reports for improved management of new accounts.

Akshay has carried out enhancements to facilitate management's understanding of the results and impact. Akshay has developed, analyzed, and monitored new, routine and ad-hoc reports. Akshay has also implemented data management solution, identified data patterns and behavior and tested changes in development(SIT) and test regions (UAT and XAT) for verifying data adherence to various regulatory compliances in the financial sector.

Akshay has liaised with technology owners to build a new user management module with advanced portfolio management for an investment banking client, developed using the Agile Scrum methodology. Akshay has also performed trade analysis which involved analyzing trade data in TABLEAU and improve trade processing.

Akshay has made advancements to the existing DB2 tables to occupy newly introduced bank custody CUSIPs and accounts. Akshay has analysed existing and newly introduced records to produce business intelligence reports for the business. Akshay has adopted analytical data driven approaches for defect tracking and bug fixing using BMC remedy tool.

Akshay has mentored new recruits and provided knowledge transfer sessions on the applications, technologies and ongoing projects. Akshay has also conducted training sessions for the recruits on COBOL, JCL, Procedures, VSAM, CICS, Tracemaster, Dumpmaster, Insync.

Akshay Yadav has a Master's Degree in Information Systems from the University of Utah - David Eccles School of Business, a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and a High School diploma from Air Force School. Akshay also has several certifications, including R Programming, Financial Market Certification, Google Analytics for Beginners, Tableau 10 for Data Science, and Data Visualization Storytelling Essentials.
