Shimon Kogan

Shimon Kogan is currently an advisor at Lagoon. Prior to that, they were a visiting associate professor of finance at the MIT Sloan School of Management from July 2017 to September 2020. Before that, they were a co-founder and CIO of GoodBasket Inc. from August 2014 to January 2015. Prior to that, they were an assistant professor of finance at the University of Texas at Austin from July 2008 to April 2017, researching in behavioral asset pricing. Before that, they were an assistant professor of finance at Carnegie Mellon University from August 2005 to June 2008, researching in behavioral asset pricing. Prior to that, they were an associate at MarchFirst from January 2000 to December 2001.

Shimon Kogan has a PhD in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Shimon also has an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business. Shimon's undergraduate degree is in Economics from Tel Aviv University.
