Jovan Ristic

Jovan Ristic is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in writing, translation, and media. Since June 2021, Jovan has been a novelist at Laguna, while simultaneously serving as a Consumer Protection Adviser at UBK EFEKTIVA since November 2017. Jovan has also worked as a freelance translator for Long Play Concert Agency and previously for Paladin Beograd. As a co-founder, director, and main selector of the Festival srpskog filma fantastike, Jovan has played a significant role in shaping the festival since its inception in 2006. Between 2001 and 2015, Jovan held various journalism roles at Beta News Agency, covering foreign, domestic, and cultural news. Additionally, Jovan contributed to film history as a freelance writer and researcher at Filmski centar Srbije. Academic credentials include a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Belgrade and a Bachelor's degree in Natural Sciences from Gimnazija Sveti Sava.
