Quality Lead at Laing O'Rourke

Andrew Horton has extensive work experience in various engineering and managerial roles. Andrew started their career in 1998 with MW Kellogg, where they served as a Lead Piping Engineer for the Woodside LNG Expansion Project. Later, they joined KBR E&C Australia Pty Ltd and worked as a Lead Piping Engineer and Pipeline Engineer for Chevron Gorgon LNG Development Studies. Andrew then moved to ICON Engineering Pty Ltd, where they served as a Lead Piping Engineer.

In 2004, Andrew joined Hatch, initially as a Lead Piping Engineer for Alcoa Pinjarra Alumina Refinery Efficiency Upgrade Project and BHP Billiton Ravensthorpe Nickel Project. Andrew later took on roles such as Engineering Design Manager, Technical Integrity Manager, and Global Quality Manager for Chevron Gorgon LNG.

In 2016, Andrew became the Study Manager at Hatch for CBH's Muchea Pre-Feasibility Study. Andrew then joined Endeavour Energy Corporation as the Engineering Manager, responsible for the development of a 10MW industrial WTE Plant in Sri Lanka.

Most recently, Andrew has been working at Clean TeQ Sunrise Pty Ltd. as a Senior Project Engineer, with responsibilities including quality management, safety engineering, and piping activities for the Sunrise Nickel Cobalt Scandium Project.

Currently, Andrew is working as a Quality Lead at Laing O'Rourke, where they are responsible for ensuring all project works are completed according to contract conditions, standards, and company procedures. Andrew also aims to positively influence the quality culture and performance of the project.

Andrew Horton attended Loughborough University from 1985 to 1989, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering & Design.
