John Hopkins

John Hopkins is an experienced Project Manager at Expanded, a Laing O'Rourke Company, since May 2018, and concurrently serves as Contracts Engineer at Expanded Piling since June 2015, overseeing technical and logistical aspects of piling packages valued up to £10 million. Prior experience includes a Graduate Design Engineer role at Laing O'Rourke starting in September 2014 and a Student Summer Placement at Royal HaskoningDHV, where responsibilities included liaising with lead consultants on dock wall calculations and conducting settlement calculations for reclaimed land. Additional early experience encompasses student placements at StructureWorkshop and Intrasonics Limited, focusing on CAD design and multidisciplinary projects, respectively. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Cambridge and Sidney Sussex College.
