Paul Chalmers

Paul Chalmers currently serves as Operations and Logistics professional within the Civil Works Alliance at Sizewell C for Laing O'Rourke, starting in August 2025. From January 2020 to August 2025, Paul worked as a Defence Advisor and Consultant for GAL, specializing in military disciplines and consultancy services in leadership, management, HR, communications, and procurement. Prior to this, Paul held multiple leadership roles at the UK Ministry of Defence from January 2003 to January 2020, including Head of Operations, where oversight of training programs for over 2,500 personnel was a key responsibility, and Head of Operations and Training, commanding troops in combat operations. Additional experiences include serving as Program Manager, aligning military capabilities with the UK's Defence Strategy, and various officer positions in the Army. Educational qualifications include a degree from the University of Birmingham and completion of the Intermediate Command and Staff Course at the Joint Services Command and Staff College.
