Tolga Esetekin

Tolga Esetekin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Tolga started their career as an Environmental Engineer/Sergeant in the Turkish Armed Forces, where they focused on waste disposal and recycling. Tolga then worked as a Project Engineer at EGISI WASTEWATER TECHNOLOGIES INC. Later, they joined Missouri S&T, where they served as a Graduate Student and Research Assistant, studying gas absorption and preparing reports on gas treatment. Tolga then transitioned to the corporate sector and worked at Monsanto Company, first as an ESH Coordinator, providing support for environmental, safety, and health programs, and then as an ESH Teamlead for East Europe and the Middle East, where they contributed to regional ESH priority setting and program development. Following their tenure at Monsanto, Tolga became the HSE Teamlead for East Europe and the Middle East at Bayer Crop Science. In their most recent role, they served as the Head of Quality & HSE at OneOcean Group. Currently, Tolga is the Environmental Compliance Lead at Laing O'Rourke, where they are responsible for integrating environmental and energy management systems throughout the business and technical processes, tracking sustainability performance, and coordinating evidence capture and lessons learned. Overall, Tolga Esetekin has demonstrated expertise in environmental compliance, quality management, and health and safety in a wide range of professional settings.

Tolga Esetekin's education history begins in 1991 when they attended Anatolian Vocational and Technical High School. Tolga pursued a degree in Structure Illustration and completed their studies in 1995. After that, they went on to study at Suleyman Demirel University from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering.

In 2003, Tolga Esetekin enrolled at Missouri University of Science and Technology for their Master's degree in Environmental/Environmental Health Engineering. Tolga completed this program in 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Tolga Esetekin has pursued various certifications throughout their career. These include "Technical Member (TechIOSH)" from the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), obtained in October 2022, "IOSH Managing Safely v5.0" from the British Safety Council, obtained in September 2022, and "NEBOSH International General Certificate 2018 Spec (IG1, IG2)" from NEBOSH, obtained in August 2022.

Tolga also holds certifications such as "Certified Fire Marshall (FM)" from ClearAid, obtained in May 2022, "First Aid" from SRP Training, obtained in May 2022, and "CybSafe Certification in Security Awareness" from CybSafe, obtained in June 2021.

Prior to these certifications, Tolga Esetekin obtained an "ISO45001 Internal Auditor" certification from Mavi Akademi Danışmanlık Ve Eğitim Merkezi in December 2018. Tolga also holds a "First Aid and CPR/AED certification" from the Ministry of Health (Turkey), obtained in July 2018.

Earlier in their career, Tolga Esetekin obtained a "Certified Safety Supervisor (CSS)" certification from the Ministry of Labor and Social Security (Turkey) in January 2014. Tolga'squalifications also include the "Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP)" certification from The Ministry of Environment and Urban Planning (Turkey), obtained in August 2010.
