Jason Olson

Jason Olson has over 20 years of work experience in the field of engineering, specifically in RF design and product development. Jason is currently serving as the Director of Product Development at Laird Connectivity, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Design Engineering Manager at Laird Connectivity from June 2017 to December 2021.

Before joining Laird Connectivity, Jason worked at LSR as an Engineering Manager from June 2014 to June 2017. Jason had also held the positions of Senior Project Engineer from November 2013 to June 2014 and Senior RF Design Engineer from March 2008 to November 2013 at LSR.

Jason began their career at RF Technologies in June 2003, where they served as a Senior RF Engineer for five years. Jason was involved in designing proprietary wireless products for hospital security and patient safety.

In 1999, Jason had an internship at Motorola Mobility, which later turned into a full-time position. Jason started as an Engineer I and eventually became an RF Design Engineer II in the Small-Signal RF CDMA Transceiver Group. Jason played a key role in identifying and resolving a VCO phase noise issue during their internship, leading to a job offer. During their time at Motorola Mobility, Jason worked on redesigning legacy transceivers and a legacy RX switch matrix.

Jason Olson attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree with a focus on Power and Wireless Communications Specialty Electives.
