Robert Huggins has significant experience in aviation and aeronautics, currently serving on the South Dakota Aeronautics Commission after being appointed by the Governor of South Dakota in October 2017. From August 2020 to September 2023, Robert worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Lake Area Technical College. Prior to these roles, Robert held various positions with the Federal Aviation Administration from January 2005 to January 2017, including Air Traffic Control Tower Manager, where responsibilities included supervising three Front Line Managers and overseeing quality assurance, training, recruitment, and budget adherence. Additional roles included Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist, focusing on the integration of Unmanned Aerial Systems in the National Airspace System, and Air Traffic Frontline Manager at a Level 6 Air Traffic Control Tower. Robert Huggins holds a Bachelor of Science in Airport Administration from the University of North Dakota.
