Maricel Veluz, LCSW, has extensive experience in the field of psychotherapy and counseling. Currently, Maricel operates a private practice as a Psychotherapist since May 2018, while also serving as a Student Services Manager at the USC Suzanne Dworak-Peck School of Social Work since February 2014. Additionally, Maricel works as a Counselor/Therapist and Relationship Coach at Lake Avenue Church since July 2011. Maricel has previous experience as an LCSW in private practice from June 2018 to December 2020 and served as a Student Services Advisor at the University of Southern California from June 2000 to June 2014. Maricel holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from the University of Southern California, obtained between 2007 and 2010, and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from De La Salle University, completed in 1996.

Lake Avenue Church is a 120 year-old congregational church. We have a strong history of growth, vibrancy, and community engagement.
