Tierra Lemon, LMSW, currently serves as the Director of the Gun Violence Prevention Initiative at the Lake County State's Attorney's Office, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Tierra worked as a Violence Recovery Specialist III and a Violence Recovery Specialist at UChicago Medicine from August 2021 to April 2023. Additional experience includes serving as a therapist at EM Branch & Associates, Inc. and founding The Therapeutic Trap. Tierra has held leadership roles such as the Alumni Engagement Chair for the Chicago Scholars Alumni Leadership Association and completed internships in clinical social work and social work at The Fortune Society, Graham Windham, and other organizations. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Social Work with a focus on Clinical Mental Health from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Jackson State University.
