David Thomas, MD, MPH has an extensive education history. David obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Tennessee Technological University in 2006. Dr. Thomas earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from St. George's University in 2012. David pursued further specialization and completed a Fellowship in Infectious Disease at the University of Connecticut from 2015 to 2017. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2018, they pursued a Fellowship in Hematology & Medical Oncology at Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.
In 2021, Dr. Thomas obtained Subspecialty Certification in Infectious Disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine. Prior to this, they obtained Internal Medicine certification from the same institution in 2019.
Currently, Dr. David Thomas is pursuing an Advanced Fellowship in Transplant & Oncology Infectious Disease at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute.
