Carole Dodson is an experienced educator and realtor with a diverse professional background. Currently serving as an ESOL and Spanish teacher at Lake Oconee Academy since July 2017, Carole has previously taught at Marana Unified School District and Tucson Unified School District, covering subjects like Spanish, English, and Structured English Immersion. Alongside teaching, Carole has been a realtor since June 2017, initially with Coldwell Banker Lake Oconee Realty and currently with Drake Realty, specializing in negotiating and marketing properties, including golf course homes, lake homes, and new constructions. Carole Dodson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Language and Literature from Meredith College and has received an International Studies Association Scholarship from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

Mission Statement The mission of Lake Oconee Academy is to increase student achievement by building a culture of high expectations for all students. The Academy will incorporate common sense and proven principles, such as a research-based curriculum, high expectations for students, both academically and behaviorally, an emphasis on outstanding school leadership and faculty, and parental involvement. The culture of the Academy is built on these fundamental principles.
