Application Scientist at Lake Shore Cryotronics

Cosmin Radu is currently an Application Scientist at Lake Shore Cryotronics. Previously, they were a Technical Intern at Seagate Technology from May 2005 to January 2006, working on magnetic media characterization and Heat Assisted Magnetic Recording projects. From January 2003 to December 2008, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of New Orleans, studying magnetic and high frequency materials characterization techniques and developing novel instrumentation. From January 2001 to December 2002, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at the National Institute of Research and Development for Technical Physics, working on laboratory instrumentation development for characterizing magnetic materials and devices. Radu began their career as a Service Engineer at Seek Med, Medical X-Ray Equipment from January 2000 to December 2001.

Cosmin Radu earned a Bachelor of Science in Medical Physics from Al I. Cuza University of Iasi. Cosmin then went on to earn a Master of Science in Medical Physics from the same school. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering and Applied Science from the University of New Orleans.

Cosmin Radu reports to Brad Dodrill, VP, Applications & Senior Scientist. They are on a team with Jeff Lindemuth - Senior Application Scientist, David Daughton - Application Scientist, and Raghava Panguluri - Applications Scientist.
