Claire McHenry

Claire McHenry is an experienced professional in education and environmental research, currently serving as a Teacher Assistant at Lake Tahoe School since August 2025. Prior roles include Development Director and Nature Study Area Development Coordinator at Truckee Meadows Parks Foundation, where grant opportunities were identified and managed. Claire previously worked with the National Park Service on cultural resource organization and metadata improvement, and as an Education Program Associate at UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center, where environmental education events were coordinated. Other roles include geospatial analysis at the U.S. Geological Survey, field data collection at the University of Minnesota, and various positions in retail and food service. Claire holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geology, GIS, and Statistics from Macalester College.
