Valerie Touchton

Valerie Touchton currently serves as a Reading Resource Teacher at Lake Villa School District 41 since August 2023. With a diverse background in educational roles, Valerie has held positions such as Assistant Camp Director and Camp Operations Assistant at the Chicago Botanic Garden since May 2014, and has experience as a Title 1 Substitute at Johnsburg School District 12 from March to June 2023. Previous roles include Education and Enrichment Program Manager at Beacon Place NFP from April 2021 to March 2023, District Executive for Boy Scouts of America from November 2019 to April 2021, MTSS Teacher at Zion Elementary School District 6 from August 2018 to October 2019, and 1st Grade Teacher at Waukegan Public Schools from August 2015 to August 2018. Valerie holds a Master of Arts in Reading Education from Concordia University Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from North Greenville University.
