Ellen Chambers

Trustee Ellen Chambers was elected as a trustee for Lakehead District School Board in October 2014. Trustee Chambers was elected as the chair of the Board in December 2018 and was re-elected as chair of the Board on December 3, 2019, and December 1, 2020. She is a member of the following committees: Coordinating Committee, Aboriginal Education Advisory Committee (AEAC), Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPSBA) Director Liaison Committee, School Year Calendar Committee, and Equity and Inclusive Education Committee. She is the alternate member of the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association (OPBSA) Board of Directors, and is a voting delegate, and Parent Involvement Committee (PIC).
