Tom Kirchner

Tom Kirchner, CPPO, has over 30 years of work experience in procurement and operations management. Tom served as a Squad Leader in the United States Army Reserve before transitioning to roles such as Materials Manager at Lucas/Varity Kelsey Hayes and Waltco Truck Equipment Company, where they achieved significant cost savings through strategic initiatives. Tom also held positions at Applied Materials as a Senior Planner, focusing on supplier development and cost reduction projects. Tom later became the Senior Director for Purchasing and Auxiliary Operations at Lakeland Community College, where they restructured the department for increased efficiencies. Tom also served as an Officer for the Great Lakes Region at NAEP.

Tom Kirchner, CPPO obtained a degree in Business with a field of study in Production Procurement from Bowling Green State University in 1992. Tom also obtained the CPPO certification from UPPCC in May 2014.
