Carmen Mitchell, MSHQS, has a diverse work experience in the field of research operations and management. Carmen most recently served as the Director of Research Business Operations at Lakeland Regional Health-Florida. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager of Research Operations at Moffitt Cancer Center, where they oversaw research operations for the division of Population Science. Carmen also has experience in the academic setting, having served as the Associate Director of Research Enterprise at the University of South Florida and the Research Operations Manager at Jaeb Center for Health Research. Earlier in their career, they held various roles at the UAB School of Medicine and The University of Alabama at Birmingham Health Services. Carmen's expertise includes strategic planning, program management, budgeting, and staff supervision.

Carmen Mitchell, MSHQS, holds a Doctor of Health Science degree from Nova Southeastern University, which they obtained from 2024 to 2026. Carmen also has a Master of Science degree in Healthcare Quality and Safety from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a Bachelor's Degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management, also from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Additionally, Carmen has obtained certifications in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education and as a Certified Pharmacy Technician from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, which they obtained in November 2001.
