Shawn Markert-Jones has extensive experience in creative leadership and brand design. Shawn began their career as a Creative Director at Virgin Interactive Entertainment, where they quickly rose to the position of Creative Director within six months. Shawn then went on to work as a Creative Director at DreamWorks Interactive, leading the creative efforts for the launch of the PC game Trespasser. Shawn also served as a Creative Manager at Disney Interactive Studios and as an Executive Creative Director at Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment.

In 2007, Shawn joined Target Corporation as a Creative Manager, where they led the development and execution of cross-channel advertising campaigns. Shawn also directed strategic campaign concepts and product development for Licensing and Entertainment partnerships, establishing Target as a leader in the music and entertainment industry.

Shawn later joined Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment as a Creative Director, where they set the creative vision and oversaw the development of all creative output for legacy film franchises. Shawn also took on the role of Director of Design at Wikia, Inc., where they built and led a talented multi-disciplinary team to evolve and define the expression of the brand.

More recently, Shawn worked as the Senior Creative Director at Udemy, where they played a key role in shaping the global brand. Shawn then served as the Head of Brand Design at Intercom before joining Lakeshore Learning Materials as the Senior Creative Director.

Throughout their career, Shawn has demonstrated expertise in driving integrated execution across all media platforms, providing creative direction to cross-functional teams, and building and leading talented design teams.

Shawn Markert-Jones has a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Design from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. They also have obtained a certification as an Integrative Health Coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in 2022.
